Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your FireGuard account and the personal data associated with it, for the web dashboard, mobile app, and any connected gateways registered to your account. This applies to every FireGuard user, whether you signed up with an email/password or with Google Sign-In.

How to request deletion

Email us from the address registered on your account, or message us on WhatsApp. Include your account email and, if you belong to an organisation with multiple users, the site/company name so we can identify your account correctly.

What gets deleted

• Your name, email address, phone number, and login credentials.
• Your profile and role assignments within your organisation's account.
• Push notification tokens linked to your devices.

What we may retain, and why

Some data cannot be deleted immediately or in full, because of legitimate business and legal needs:

• Site/equipment telemetry and alarm history tied to a shared organisation account is retained as part of that organisation's fire-safety and maintenance record, even after an individual user's personal account is deleted — unless the organisation itself requests full account closure.
• Audit logs of safety-relevant actions (e.g. who acknowledged an alarm and when) are kept for compliance and incident-investigation purposes, as is standard for fire-safety monitoring systems.
• Billing records we are legally required to retain for tax/accounting purposes.
• Backups that include your data before deletion may persist for a limited period before being purged in the normal backup rotation.

If you are the sole user / owner of an organisation's FireGuard account and want the entire organisation account (including site and telemetry data) deleted rather than just your personal login, say so explicitly in your request.

Timeframe

We verify every deletion request against the registered account before acting on it. Personal account data is deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
