Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how IoT Soft (“we”, “us”, “our”), the provider of the FireGuard monitoring platform (website, web dashboard, and Android app, together the “Service”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
a) Account & contact information
- Name, organisation/company name, email address, and phone number you provide at sign-up.
- Login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted, hashed values — we never see your plain password).
b) Device & monitoring data
- Telemetry from your connected gateways and sensors (e.g. pump status, pressure, tank level, panel/fault states), timestamps, alarm and event records, and gateway identifiers.
- Site names and equipment labels you configure.
c) Technical & usage data
- Device/browser type, IP address, app version, and diagnostic logs used to keep the Service reliable and secure.
- Push notification tokens (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you critical alarm alerts.
d) Billing data
- Subscription status, trial dates, and the number of devices connected. Any payment is processed through our billing platform; we do not store full card numbers on the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the Service — show your live dashboard, store history, and manage your account and sites.
- To send alerts — SMS, email, and push notifications for alarms and critical events you have subscribed to.
- To provide support, respond to enquiries, and manage your free trial and subscription.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve reliability and features.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
The FireGuard Android app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver alarm and status notifications. A device push token is generated and linked to your account so alerts reach your device. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings; this does not stop alerts delivered by SMS or email.
4. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email address, and profile photo) solely to create and authenticate your FireGuard account. We do not access your Gmail, contacts, Drive, or any other Google data, and we do not post anything on your behalf.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the Service (cloud hosting, messaging/SMS, Firebase for push) — bound to protect your data and use it only for the Service.
- Within your own organisation, per the roles and permissions you assign to your users.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users or the public.
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition), subject to this policy.
6. Data retention
We keep account and monitoring data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Telemetry history is retained per your plan. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Account & data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing iotsoft.in@gmail.com from your registered address, or by messaging us on WhatsApp at +91 72402 26566. We will verify the request and delete your data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements. See Delete Your Account & Data for the full process and what is retained.
8. Security
We protect data in transit with HTTPS/TLS, hash passwords, restrict access with role-based permissions, and apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
9. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
